Another candidate for mayor wants Baltimore City Fire Chief William Goodwin to resign, in the wake of a report issued this week on how the city fire department handled the training exercise in February, where recruit Rachael Wilson was killed. The candidate appeared on WBAL's "Kendel and Bob Show." Meanwhile, the attorney for Wilson's family is defending their pending lawsuit against the city, even though Wilson failed some agility tests.

Conaway Invites Rivals To Dinner; Asking Rivals To Drop Out
The dinner is set to take place tomorrow. Baltimore City Clerk of the Courts Frank Conaway tells WBAL's "Kendel and Bob Show" that he is concerned voters opposed to Mayor Sheila Dixon will split their vote among seven Democratic candidates, and Dixon will win. Conaway is also worried about the African-American vote being split in the Democratic race for city council president.

Parole Chief: Bremmer Refused Mental Treatment in Prison;Alabama Looks To Block Md's Early Release Of Bremer
The Alabama attorney general's office says it hopes to block the early release from a Maryland prison of the man who shot former Gov. George C. Wallace, gunned down while campaigning for president in 1972 in Laurel. meanwhile, the chairman of the Maryland Parole Commission tells the Baltimroe Sun today that Bremmer refused mental treamtnet in prison.

Wilson Family Lawyer: Racheal Was "Set Up;" Mitchell Wants Chief Out; Jessamy Weighs In
Attorney Warren Brown is planning a lawsuit that claims, in part, that Racheal Wilson was targeted by the fire department to fail when she was killed in a live-burn exercise last February. Brown said that an "insider" earlier informed him gender, and not race, played a role in the alleged conspiracy to drive her out. Meanwhile, another city officials is calling for the resignation of the city's fire chief. The city's top prosecutor is also offering limited comments on this case.
